POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President, Business Development serves as the organization’s senior leader responsible for institutional revenue growth, funding diversification, and long-term financial sustainability. The role develops and executes strategies that increase institutional funding from foundations, corporations, governments, bilateral agencies, and multilateral donors while strengthening HIAS’ competitive position in a rapidly evolving funding landscape.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President is accountable for achieving institutional fundraising goals, expanding and diversifying the organization’s donor portfolio, and ensuring that business development investments support strategic organizational priorities. The position drives collaborative revenue generation across programs, finance, and external relations and provides data-driven insights that inform executive decision-making and resource allocation.
This position is accountable for achieving institutional fundraising targets, expanding HIAS’ institutional donor base, and strengthening the organization’s long-term revenue sustainability.
Note, the salary range for this position is $165,000 - $180,000. This position can be based at our headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland or our office in New York, New York, or it can be remote for applicants who live outside of commuting distance to either of our offices and are based in other states in which we are registered (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia).
